Why is the mute key on my accordion not working?
I recently began playing the accordion. The one that I have is pretty old and used to be my grandfather's, and I've only played it three times recently. The first time I played it, the mute key or whatever it's called seemed to be working fine. However, I brought it to school the next day and while the sound was dampened, it was not completely muted. Is this normal? It could be that I didn't notice the first time, or maybe the accordion is just old, or maybe there's something wrong with it.Does anyone have any idea what could be going on?" Mute key" , whatever it's called. My concern is that one day it would cause only air to be released e.g. when closing up the accordion when I was done playing but then the next day it would only muffle the sound.

I have plenty of sheet music though, because I play the fiddle already. Carl Winslow smashed my accordion...?
Oh Urkel is so distraught I was jamming on my beloved accordion at exactly 3 00 AM last night trying to put my mutant ant farm to sleep and Carl Winslow got himself out of bed and came downstairs...at first to which I thought was him coming to enjoy the show But nooooo....he then proceeded to snatch my accordion from my hands and smashed it over my head and broke it Now I am in bed with an extreme headache with a box of tissues by my side.Should I make Carl pay for it?
