Hello.I am going into 9th grade soon at the end of the year and I get to switch instruments, but only if they are saxophone related, because right now I play an Alto Saxophone. I was thinking baritone saxophone... but now I am having second thoughts on it since it would be too tall... I'm only 5'2" . So my question is, what do you think would be the best bari sax for me?If I had to rate myself as a sax player, I would say 8 out of 10.

Low Bb Reynolds Baritone Saxophone Made around 1962 this is a great playing Bari sax. I bought it 2 years ago and don t play it anymore because I ve decided to pursue playing alto. This is a GREAT playing horn, I ve never heard low notes that sound this good or come out as easily on a bari sax. Playing overtones and not the correct notes on baritone saxophone?
For one of my big bands my teacher asked me to play bari for the concert. I normally play alto. The bari is not a great horn and the reed is chipped a little. When I play, I get overtones and the octave key seems to not work. I have tried changing everything in my embesure, which seemed to help a little bit, but I am still getting overtones a lot. What I'm asking is what is the correct embesure to play on bari and why am I playing wrong?
What is a good baritone saxophone jazz ligature?
I'm upgrading to a new mouthpiece from the stock mouthpiece in a few days and I want to find a new ligature as well. I have been browsing but I'm not sure what to look for. I am primarily playing jazz and I want to find a good jazz ligature. Keep in mind that I don't want to spend very much money on the ligature. What are some good ligatures that aren't terribly expensive?
