What is four octaves higher than basso profundo?
I have a friend, singer who can sing four octaves. I know he can sing as low as a basso profundo, so what is the highest he can sing.
My vocal range is basso profundo, and Im not really enjoying it. Is it possible to higher my vocal range?

Listen to this singer from MUCC, he has a very deep voice but when he goes up there it sounds powerful and light with heavyness to it. "8 basso optional" with 8VA notation?
On my sheet music, it says 8 basso optional. Presumably, to me, this suggests that the framed notes can be played 8VB the octave below. However, the notation frames the notes such that the dotted line hangs over the notes as it would an 8VA , and my teacher therefore says that it means it's supposed to be played 8VA. Which honestly doesn't sound right to me.Thoughts? I realise I make no sense because I don't really know how to say what I want to... so, the overhanging line looks like the 8VA one music.vt.edu musicdictionary text1 9 8va.html, but it says 8 basso
