Can you rent wooden clarinets?
Should I buy the clarinet?
My mom and I recently bought a clarinet ten minutes ago and I already feel a little doubtful. The clarinet is a used Noblet which is french and is supposed to be a very good standard, but not professional clarinet since I'm not going to play the clarinet after two years. It cost 499 dollars which is huge and an enourmous amount of money at least for my family. My mom bought it with the intention for my 16th birthday but I'd rather she wouldn't spend it on something so expensive. It would be nice to have the clarinet which also came with a free swab, reed case, reed, and book which I think I'll have to return along with the clarinet if I don't like it. Oh, and also the mouthpice All of it cost 799 which is bigger than what I have in my bank account My birthday is actually in July too so it's supposed to be an early birthday gift too. I'm afraid that the clarinet is a huge hole in my parents' pockets and with prices rising up, I'm really doubting myself even further. My mom also bought me an old Vito which is 500 dollars for marching season and the wooden Noblet for concert. Should I really return the clarinet and stick with the Vito for the next 2 years? Or should I keep it and use the Noblet ocassionally after the couple years only for concert season which is only 1 semseter each year?The Vito is actually pretty used too. And the manager rang up the mouthpiece too so it cost 799 for a whole clarinet. I am completley clueless about the labels and companies that make the clarinets so I was thinking of asking my coach too.
Vito Clarinet Quality?
I was curious about the overall quality of Vito clarinets. Just general likes dislikes. Are they a decent brand for the beginning intermediate student?
