If keyboards are electric,how come they haven't made one which has every sound ( eg clavinet,hammond?) exact?
i suppose there are legal reasons, but i was wondering if it's possiblealso, what are those old organs with the spinning thing and what does the spinning do ?

Ok, this has been racking my brain for a while. I'm a big fan of funk music and I love the clavinet keyboard. There's a sound that i'm trying to confirm is a clavinet, possibly hooked up to a wah wah pedal or some kind of effects machine. The sound is a flanger like keyboard sound that sounds like " owwww" . It sounds like a distorted clavinet. The sound was very common in mid to late 70s funk and disco. If it is a clavinet, how did they make that modified sound? Some examples would be the 3 17 mark on " Mary Jane" by Rick James, the keyboard in the background of " I Don't Believe You Wanna Get Up and Dance" by the Gap Band, " Who Loves You Better" by The Isley Brothers, the 1 15 mark of " Shot of Love" by Lakeside, and the 3 50 mark of " Just as Long as We're Together" by Prince.I know what a clavinet is, I just want to know if this particular sound is a clavinet or something else.
