I want a new keyboard because mine isn't full and i cannot play the higher and lower notes. I need good recommendations of keyboards that have A Full, weighted keyboard with touch response, and with built in speakers, but not too bulky, please. Thnx for any help. My price range is $150 to maybe $300, and any keyboards around that price.
Are there any disadvantages to learning on an electric piano as opposed to a normal piano?
The thing I like about an electric is I can use a bunch of cool sound effects and get different instrument sounds, but I am also wondering if learning to play on electric is bad in some way.

I'm a guitarist who plays a bit of piano, and was looking to get a decent practice keyboard so I can really work on my chops. I don't really know models company reputations features etc of the instruments so I'm looking to you guys to help me find the cheapest keyboard that has a good, weighted key action, and being a massive Chick Corea fan, it has to have a usable Rhodes patch.Thanks man, and I did mean electronic piano. What is a good electric piano?
My daughter is planning to take piano lessons. Unfortunately, she lives in a small apartment, so getting a normal piano is not an option. She seemed so disheartened by that fact that I was hoping to surprise her with an electric piano, but I have no idea what I should get for her. Also, she is 23 and has never played the piano before. Thus, I really don't want to spend something like $2000 on a piano she may stop playing after 3 months. Any suggestions?

How to record electric piano via open mic?
My band and I do a lot of acoustic stuff piano, guitar, soft percussion etc. Recording the guitar usually comes out nice but the one thing I keep having trouble with is getting good sound on recording my electric piano. Unfortunately, my electric Yamaha piano is too out of date to hook up to my laptop so I can't record it through an interface which really sucks so I'm stuck having to record it through an open mic in my room. This is a problem. Currently I'm using a Blue Snowball USB mic to capture the sound. I tried putting a box over the mic where the speaker on the piano was to try and contain the sound and get rid of the background noise and although that made it a little better it still has a lot of empty space noise and it just doesn't sound professional at all. I tried lowering volumes on the piano and making them higher, lowering and making higher the mic intake, everything. But I just can't get a good sound via open mic recording. I use garage band to mix it, is there anything in garage band that would enhance it to make it sound better? Again, I've pretty much tried every effect and method in garage band. Anyways if you have any suggestions please help me. Thanks.
