Will my baby grand piano grow sharper in tonality?
I have just bought a Knabe Baby grand piano and I'm really excited. However I couldn't help but notice that the sound is really dull. Now I know that the piano is under stress because it was literally JUST set up but I want to hear from someone with experience will the tones sound sharper?

How's the action on Yamaha's vintage CP 80 compared to a real grand piano? How does it differ mechanically? Can it be graded, adjusted? I'm thinking about purchasing one of these units to convert to a MIDI controller because I am continually dissatisfied by the major manufacturers' attempts these days to mimic grand piano action.

My piano's action is not broken, it just isn't optimal. I play notes but I need to press the keys all the way down to get a good sound keys have a poor weight to them . I believe because it is a older piano the action wore out over time. I would like to get it tuned up so that it feels like playing a new one however I don't know how much it would cost. Suggestions?
Should I get the baby grand piano or the upright? (please answer!)?
I m having a hard time deciding whether we should pay 3000 4000 dollars more and get a baby grand hailun or an upright hailun. They are both great quality pianos, and the upright is definitely better than any other I ve played in the 5000 dollar range our budget . What I love about the baby grand though is that the quality is just amazing, and hailun made no compromise on quality when making the baby grand. It also has an amazing sound and just feels great to play. The thing about the baby grand is that it s like 9500 dollars a little out of our price range so is it worth it? It is just an excellent piano. I ve been playing for about 9 years now. My parents don t know whether it s the right time to get me a baby grand though because over the past few years I wasn t playing as much as I did before. I inherited a Maynard cabinet grand piano. I did some research and it looks like the piano company Werner was involved in making the pianos with Maynard out of Chicago, IL. Moving baby grand piano?
So i'm going to try to move a baby grand, please do not tell me to hire proffesionals or any of that sh t i know what i'm getting into. So i was going to get 4 5 ordinary people, ordinary as in none of us are jacked and body builders , to move this baby grand. It's gotta go up a flight of stairs, and to the house right next door, and down a flight of stairs. I was going to remove the legs, the top board, the pegal thing , etc. Cover it in that plasticy stuff, and put blankets on the stairs, other flight is carpeted , With one person being the look out saying if we're to close to the ground and etc, could this be done. i've been told their fragile, in addition to the awkward movements and maneauvers and shape of the instrument. That if you set it down and it hits hard enough it'll damage it? Honestly the whole thing would probably take an hour and i'm not paying 200 400 bucks for that.

In my opinion, I'd prefer both of them in the same room at the same time, because to accommodate what other people's preferences are. Because it wouldn't be fair to just have a grand piano without a keyboard because people like me and other people who prefer technology more won't get that. And vise versa. And plus, some songs sound good on keyboard, another one might sound good on grand piano. Like as the deer would be good for a piano and strings sound mixed together, like for communion. And All Are Welcome Dakota road might sound good on piano for the up beat in tempo. What's your opinion?
Age & value of l.e.n. pratte Baby Grand Piano?
seeking age of l.e.n. pratte baby grand piano built in Montreal, Quebec. Serial 3951 Also wondering what piano would be worth. The cabinet is in very good condition, it has the original bench, no intricate carving on the cabinet, keys in excellent shape, all of the notes play, it has been recently tuned & the foot pedals were adjusted, the sound is wonderful with the sound board in perfect condition, this is an l.e.n. pratte baby grand piano which is 64" in length, situated in Brantford, Ontario
