really badly lolim 15 is it too late to start? it looks difficult also around how much do they charge you for lessons and of course you would need to buy a harp which would be expensive DXi also play the violin and its been pretty costly for my mum, the lessons are like 28 and my violin is worth 2,000 so i don't know if ill be allowed to start the harp but she might let me when i get a job and ill be doing my grade 8 violin soon and if i pass i wont be needing to go to as many lessons for a while i dont think anyway can anyone give me advice and do you think ill be able to give it a go?thanks

Hello, I've been looking through multiple websites to find a harp and came across Sylvia Woods Harp Center, Harps etc. and Harp connection. I'm a beginner and was looking for a celtic harp to purchase. Is there any experienced harpist harper out there that should tell me the price range of my first harp. I'm looking for a fully levered harp, preferably from lyon and healy or salvi. But of course, if you have years of experience and have better, or cheaper suggestions I'd like to hear then, I can't find any places in nyc that that sells harps so I have no choice but to go online to search. I'd greatly appreciate it if anyone took the time out to give me more knowledge on them.3 hours ago 4 days left to answer.
Is it normal for your fingers to be painful after playing harp?
I play harp and I love it. I got a new lever harp in October and I find my fingers get quite painful after playing for a while. Is this normal? I've been playing for just under a year now.

Harmonicas (diatonic) - what new harps should I try?
I have been experimenting with harmonica for some time now and I want to try out some other keys lower ones I have been playing a hohner special 20 C , and I play with the pucker technique, but I was looking to try out harps that maybe don't have the harsh box car shape. since I have some wrist and finger joint pain, I feel like this might help.I was looking at the hohner golden melody and the Suzuki bluesmaster, how are these? And what other harps should I look into? I like more rounded and mellow sounding tone in my instruments, Thanks
How To Stop Harp Strings From Twanging?
Hi,I've been playing the harp for a month now and I've noticed something that I'm having trouble with. When I pluck the same string continuously it makes this strange vibrating sound when my finger touches the already vibrating string. Because the string vibrates, then your finger abruptly stops it. The sound is terrible and I really want to fix it. My harp teacher says it goes away with time when you start getting a feel for it and placing your finger right so it doesn't make the sound. But I really want to work on the problem and not just hope it will go away with time. Do you know how I can fix this problem? How I should place my finger when plucking one string over and over? Or perhaps a link that adresses this problem? Thank you.
