Drum hi hat cymbals?!?
Alright, I'm currently using the hats that came with the set, and they sound HORRIBLE. i bought the set from a family that got it for their little girl, and she obviously just banged on it. The hat stand is really squeaky, too.I'm on a budget but don't wanna get really cheap ones. I really like Sabian, especially the xs20. What do you think of those hats?Which hi hats do you recommend, and do you think I should replace the stand? Also, is it normal for the bottom hat to be really wobbly and for the top and bottom to not line up right?
My bottom hi hat cymbal wobbles?

Hi-hat cymbals uneven?
My hi hat cymbals on the stand aren't parallel to the ground. The top one is, but the bottom one is leaning a bit and it greatly affects the sound. When I tap the pedal with the hi hat, it sounds like a cymbal is being lightly hit, because one part closes before the other. If I am playing a closed hi hat song, with some open hi hats in the middle, it sounds like I'm hitting a cymbal softly. How do I fix this?
Can a hi-hat stand affect the sound quality of the actual hi-hat cymbals?
Hi, I just recently bought an entry level drum set. It's been great, except for I've had some problems with the hi hats. It seems that when I close the hi hats and then hit them, they give a nasty " clank" sound. However, if I loosen my foot on the hi hat stand pedal just a liiiiittle, I hear a little click noise. After I hear this noise, and I strike the hi hats, they give a good, healthy " chick" noise. Basically, my question is.... What is causing this " clank" noise when I close the hi hats too hard? Is it the cymbals which I'm planning to replace because the ones the kit came with are cheap O or the actual stand, or both? Thanks Any help is much appreciated, and I'm sorry for the lengthy explanation HELP PLEASE

Hi-hat cymbal issues!?
Hey, ive just set up my new drum kit and its working great apart from the hi hat.the bottom cymbal from what i gathered, it is meant to rest on a felt pad keeps falling to one side and im pretty sure thats not meant to happen D its almost as though there should be something on the inside of the cymbal to stop it sliding out of place. i dont think there is though.is it the cymbal itself? ive got to tell you the cymbals aren't of the greatest quality, but their decent. im really stuck.any help is greatly appriciated cheers guys.
Can someone help me with my Single Hi Hat Cymbal problem?
My parents bought me a drum kit a few years ago for christmas. I was over the moon with because I was so young and had wanted one for ages. My parents are not very experienced with buying drum kits, and no offense to them but they knew that I really really wanted a black kit. Unfortunately, the only black kit the shop had in stock was the floor model so my parents bought that. I was in the band at school but found that I was not enjoying it as much as I thought I would and therefore discontinued playing the drums for roughly two years. Now that I've started high school I have a great drum teacher and he has renewed my passion for the instrument. Now that I am much more experienced with a drum kit I realise that due to my kit being the shop's floor model it only had one hi hat cymbal. My mum says that I will just have to practice without the second hi hat or use the crash or buy one myself. Recently, to my surprise I have found that in Australia, hi hats aren't cheap, I do not have this money, I'm a kid. I don't know if this is relevant but my kit is DXP and so are the cymbals. So, should I a Cop it sweet and play with one hi hatb Take it back to the shop where I bought it and demand they give me the missing cymbal orc Attempt to buy one on ebay even though I lost an auction with one second to go on Sunday night after sitting at my computer for 3 straight hours bored out of my pants..Any help would be much appreciated. I suppose I could also be an arsehole and try to scab a pair of my prents and or big brother
Hi-hat cymbals?
my top hi hat and my botom both have a dent in the bell and now it makes like a ringing sound after i hit it is that because of the dent in my bells?
My Sabian B8 Hi-Hat Cymbals sound really weird. The pitch is extremely high when I hit the hi-hats open. Help?
I recently bought a drum set from my uncle and I'm setting up the drums. I just finished setting up my hats and it sounds extremely weird. He says he had this set for 10 years but I know it shouldn't sound like that no matter how old it is. It's at an extremely high pitch and I hate playing it, so is it something with how I set it up Because I'm new to setting up a kit or is it just something with the hi hat itself?
(Drummers!) What Hi Hat cymbals should I get?
Well, this year for christmas I asked for some long over due new hi hats that wont break the bank. I just am not sure what to get because I don't like zildjian because they never seem to last long. I have all sabian cymbals right now. And I am not sure weather Paiste is good. I play a wide range of music from funk to metal.
