How do you change lyre strings?
I got a 10 string lyre and it's a pretty neat instrument to learn to play. It was given as a gift and something " for fun" . There's just one problem, I don't know how to change the strings I can't find anyone in my local area who plays a lyre but there are plenty of harp players around here. Does anyone know how to change the strings on a lyre or find an online link? I searched on Google and found a lot on changing harp strings. If it helps, I know how to change strings on a violin viola and guitar.
A friend of mine said he had a dream about being an ancient Greek stringed instrument. Was he just a lyre?

Dorian mode on a 16 string lyre question.?
I have a 16 string lyre. I would like to tune in the Dorian mode. The tuning would be something like this? D E F G A B C D E F G A B C D E? from the lowest note to the highest? I'm new at music so any inputs are welcomed. Thanks in advanced.Would I need to include Sharps and Flats? I'm still unsure if any of those notes need it.Thank you for your answers. Could you point me to a website that has all the Dorian modes? I'm so new at music and the tunes that I'm very ignorant, but I would like to learn. Very soon I will start taking guitar classes but sadly, I love playing the lyre. What would be the best Dorian mode for a 16 string lyre?
