Lower C# key on alto saxophone not working?
I am a student alto sax player, started in september 2010. I play an Accent AS710L. I played yesterday and everything worked fine. I picked it up today and i can't play a low C . I can play a low C, Low B, Low Bflat, everything on that " key square" thing except my low C . When I try to play it i comes out as a low C. I have no time to take it in to the shop before I need it again for school. Would this be a bent rod? Or is there something else I can do??
Are my saxophone lessons long enough?
Well, at my school there is one teacher for woodwind and piano lessons, so I take 15 minutes of a lesson.Is this too short? And how long should a lesson be?
How do you growl on a saxophone ?
I have been Playing the saxophone for about 3 years now and I want to improve. I play the beri and alto sax. I would like to learn how to growl on a saxophone but if anyone has any thoughts or ideas how to help me improve that would be great.

Me and my mum's friends would really like to get my mum a saxophone for her birthday this year. She used to play years ago but her saxophone got stolen and she's always wanted to play again but could never justify buying one herself. What are some good alto saxophones for jazz playing?
Im looking at Yamaha 82Z Unlacquered because of its rich sound and reviews, but there is this other saxophone that won't leave my mind it is the Allora Paris Series Pro Alto Sax, if you do not know of them look on WWBW. They have a $2,000 price difference. I play tenor now and am actually looking to get a pro 82Z Ul Tenor but I'm looking at altos for the future and don't know if i can pay the $3,500 for the 82Z Alto, please help

SAXOPHONE PLAYERS: I need to understand the difference in pitch between the alto and other instruments?
I understand that the notes on the sheet music for alto saxophone are pitched differently to the notes on the score for, say a piano, for instance.Resource pages ive found on online are rather complex in teaching this and i still dont know which direction it is. I know it is about three half notes?What i really need to know is whether or not the middle C on the alto saxophone is HIGHER or LOWER than the middle C on a piano?Thanks much in advance
