Where can i download a free MP3 of creepy theremin music?
I need it for a website.

Do you know of any symphonic band music with theremin in it?
A while ago, the band conductor of my college found out that I play theremin and asked if I knew of any band symphonic music with theremin in it. Sadly, I didn't and I still don't. My searches are not resulting in any useful information, so I was wondering if someone else happened to know of anything. Also, the creepier the piece, the better although at this point any suggestions are helpful.

What is your favorite music piece made with a theremin ?
Mine has got to be the theme to the original The Day the Earth Stood Still youtube.com watch?v rYbHpXca7U0Floopy Doo... You'd find the best use of it in the beginning of the long version

Which recent "Wichita Lineman" version has a theremin and a sitar?
I heard an awesome version of Wichita Lineman on a contemporary rock station the other day. There was a male singer, and they used a theremin and a sitar as accompanyment to a more modern rock sound. It must have been recent, as all the other songs played on the station were from the past 10 years or so.Anyone know who it is?

Have you ever played the air theremin to "Good Vibrations"?

How hard is it to learn to play the theremin?
My 14yo daughter has some musical talent but hasn't been professionally taught in anything apart from some piano lessons. She wants to save up for a quality theremin and learn to play it, but how difficult would it be to learn on her own? Lessons may be possible in the future, but for financial reasons right now I can't get her lessons. Thanks, Mel if you wouldn't mind elaborating by telling me if you know if it's difficult to master? We've watched demonstrations on how it's played and understand how it works, but I'd like to know if it's something that she can teach herself or not.Thank you, " it's that guy." Good suggestion to get her to play another instrument. We have a piano at home, and she has a fairly good keyboard that she plays with in her spare time she taught herself to play Victor's Solo from The Corpse Bride, two handed in about an hour . I really do need to look into finding her another piano teacher, and I guess learning the theremin could follow once I'm sure she's serious about it. Thank you for your advice

Did Muse use a theremin for the beginning of "Resistance"?
I was watching the making of video and that's what Matt appears to be playing. If I'm wrong please correct me Thanks

In honor of Lev Termen's Bday today, what is your favorite song with theremin in it?
According to Albert Glinsky's book, Theremin ETHER MUSIC AND ESPIONAGE, around 1920 when Lev Termen, as a young man, was newly accepted to work in the Physico Technical Institute his first project assignment involved using the body as a capacitor which could interfere with an electrical circuit without touching it and set off a signal to create the first invisible burglar alarm.Lev's next assignment was to measure gas fluctuations using the harmonics of a tuned circuit, or oscillator, and the oscillator issued a whistling note that changed in pitch as the properties of the gas " aether" changed. He noticed that as he moved his hand towards and away from the circuit the pitch rose and fell. These first two practical jobs given to him at the Institute became the basis of his greatest invention the theremin.During his time in the United States his name was Leon Thermein, and the rest as they say, is history.Mine, lately, is " Pitchfork Man" by The Voodoo Organist.I can't find it on youtube, and it's not on his myspace, but check him out anyway. He's a cool dude. His live shows are really fun as well.myspace.com voodooorganist

Is a theremin always on? How was it used in the Russian Civil War?
Two questions are bothering me. . . Is there like a button to turn a theremin on, or do you just walk up to it and start playing it? Also, I know it was invented in the Russian Civil War, but before it became used for music, what did the scientists intend to use it for?

Can you play chords on theremin?
I'm doing my GCSE composition in Sibelius and was wondering if it's even possible for theremin players to play chords
