I purchased a secondhand piano a few years ago. It is very sentimental and I am looking at having it refurbished has cosmetic marks on exterior .It has the following written on it Lagonda by Jesse French and sons, Musgroves limited Perth.The serial number is 100333I've found out that the company started in America and it was built sometime during the early 1900s.Even an aprroximate date would be very helpful, how old is my piano?

I was using an upright piano and one of the white keys sagged down and is staying in that position. I can pull it up, but it goes right back down. When it's pressed, it doesn't make any sound. What is the problem? If it's an easy fix, I'd like to try it. I'd really appreciate any help. Thank you
I need help in buying a used upright piano?
So I am definitely buying a used upright piano since anything else is out of our budget right now in the future I plan on investing in a better piano . I've looked around craigslist and I know a new upright is in the thousands so a used one should be in the 800s or whatever. Yet, i see ads for pianos under 500. They look pretty good, some of them are even $100 which is almost too good to be true. Should I be worried about these super cheap pianos or are they just good steals?

I learned to play the piano on and off from the age of 6 12 and I have had a digital piano throughout the years but with renewed interest like to purchase a new acoustic piano. I have looked at the Essex Steinway and sons EUP111 on the expensive side well over 5K Kawai K2 with the millenium action about 5K Pramble LV108 and LV118 cheapest in the mid to high $3k range Knabe about 5K I don't want to end up with a white elephant and I don't want to get something cheap that ends up sounding like a tin can. I am a bit confused with all the pianos I have seen and the countries I should avoid buying the piano from. I would like anyone else like to spend the least amount of money.Can anyone shed some light here please? Any advice as to what is the best new acoustic upright piano one can buy for a relatively new adult beginner? How much should I really be paying for the pianos listed? Thanks in advance.
