If you were going to learn a musical instrument, what would it be?
I'd like to learn how to play the flute.

Did your parents force you to learn a musical instrument?
I had to learn the violin lolThe best thing I've ever done is give it up...they just had to accept that I was no mozart...

Is 15 too late to learn a musical instrument?
I'll be 15 just before christmas, and I get money on my birthday and at christmas.I've been wanting to learn guitar and maybe piano for about a year now, and I'm thinking of purchasing an electric guitar and a keyboard after christmas with the money I get, but I'm worried its too late to start learning.Bearing in mind my parents won't pay for lessons, so I'd have to teach myself, do you think I'd be able to do it?I'm in year 10 so I've just started studying for GCSE's, and lots of people say you need an hour practice a day to learn an instrument, so that would be 2 hours a day if I were to learn both, which I wouldn't be able to do.However I don't do any other extra curricular activities, and I'm practically dying of boredom. Is it worth it?

I want to learn a musical instrument where do i start?
I would like to learn the accordion, but i have NO musical training at all where should i start? is there some theory or should i just find someone to give me lessons in accordion?

I am 28, is it too late for me to learn a musical instrument i was thinking either the guitar or violin?
I can't read music, can both only be mastered really when you are a child? i asked my boyfriend last night, and he couldn't be bothered to answer me, hopefully someone else will?

I want to learn a musical instrument. What should I try based on the sounds I like?
I don't really have that much interest in the standard sounds of electric guitars or acoustics. I like it when their sounds are distorted or a bit more electronic in the sense of using synthesizers and keyboards. Anyway, I kinda want to start with something reasonably straightforward to learn and pretty practical, so I can play to a passable standard without taking forever. But be obscure as you want with suggestions. The Stone Roses, Gary Numan, Iggy Pop, David Bowie, The Smiths, The Doors, Radiohead. Some bands I like.Since I am going to university this autumn I don't have much space money.Until then I have all the time in the world though.

I want to learn a musical instrument and stuck between flute and electric violin?
if you play any of these instruments could you please tell what there like thank you D

Why do so many people learn a musical instrument without knowing a thing about music?
so many people learn guitar through tabs and youtube videos...piano by wrote, drums without knowing how to count, and every other instrument without being able to read music. it's like blasphemy. lol.and i know, music is music. however it's created. but does anybody else think it's difficult to watch people do this? is it ok that i get irritated sometimes when people don't appreciate the complexity music has and the skill needed to gain a firm grasp of it?i don't mean to sound arrogant. i'm just frustrated.

Is it too late for me to learn a musical instrument?
I'm 17 and i really want to learn the violin...I was wondering if its too late for ma to learn it because i heard people usually learn we they are really young....and how long do you master the violin on average ?

If you had do do one, would you learn a musical instrument or another language?
I heard that there's a part of your brain that is only used by learning a language other than the one you first learn, or learning how to play a musical instrument and reading music. At school, you have to learn a a language. Do you think students should have the choice? If you were a student and you did, which would you choose?

Do you know anyone who learned a musical instrument as an adult from scratch?
How long did they take and how well can they play?

Learning a musical instrument ?
I really would like to play a musical instrument but have no musical knowledge what so ever i would like to play the clarinet and am able to get a sound out of it. How hard is clarinet ? as i said im not to musical and at lessons would i learn how to read music or would i have to get theory lessons as well? lastly i am also thinking about piano would that be better to start off with ? i would just like to get stuck into clarinet though. THANKS

VIOLIN (or) GUITAR? I would like to start learning a musical instrument. But not sure what to choose?
I like both very much. I am confused what to chooseI have time to learn only one of the two. I want to learn music mainly for MY OWN SPIRITUAL PURPOSE.. I am not going to become a stage performer or something. But occasionally I may showcase my talent. What is your suggestion?
