I am interested in learning a musical instrument (never played one before) what would you recommend?
I know nothing of musical theory and I can barely read music. I don't really have preference in instrument family woodwind, brass, etc , but I was thinking maybe clarinet or flute. I want something easy to learn, I'm in my mid 20s and they say it gets harder to learn to play music as you get older. Also, I want something fairly cheap. I don't want to end up pay a few hundred for something I end up not playing. Thanks a lot I don't have any interest in learning to sing, and a lot of instruments interest me, but I can't decide which one will be easy enough to learn that I'll stick with it. A few instruments that are definitely out are the piano and drums. I don't have the room nor the money for those costly instruments.
Has anything put you off learning a musical instrument?

Is it worth buying and learning a musical instrument at this age?
i am 17 year old. a year before i had no interest in music, but recently i don't know what got into me and i started thinking about learning piano or guitar. i have no idea where to begin and moreover i don't know whether it's worth a try or not. i don't want to get professional anyway. thinking about that at this age is almost next to impossible. i just want to be in a position to play my favorite songs on piano or guitar. pls help me.also if you think that it's worth a try coz this thing is just being done for fun please help me with which piano guitar should i start with. please also give the cost of the instrument if possible and also a link to buy it can be helpful. no offense. everyone's answer will be treated with equal reverence.thank you
I am 28, is it too late for me to learn a musical instrument i was thinking either the guitar or violin?
I can't read music, can both only be mastered really when you are a child? i asked my boyfriend last night, and he couldn't be bothered to answer me, hopefully someone else will?
Is it worth it to learn a musical instrument?
It's just one of those things that I've told myself that I've " had" to do over the past few years, yet I never seemed to get around to it. Part of me thinks that if it were meant to happen it would have happened by now. It seems expensive, frustrating, and time consuming, yet oddly alluring as well.
