I'm thinking of playing bluegrass which instrument should i learn fiddle banjo or mandolin?
Are ukuleles and mandolins the same chords and tuning?
Tomorrow I will go buy a ukulele and I heard that mandolins, ukuleles and banjos are tuned the same and the chords are the same. Is this true?

I will be getting my Opa's grandfather's mandolin from my uncle and I want to learn how to play it. I would like to know Is a hard instrument to learn? What is the best how to play mandolin books?
I have a mandolin, and I have had it for a little bit more than a year now and I really wanna get serious with it. I know a few chords on it like D, C, G, Em, E, etc... Easy stuff, and can really only play Wagon Wheel, Knocking on Heavens door. But I really wanna learn more. I have been playing guitar for around 3 years now and that helps, but I was wondering if anybody knows of a really good How To book on playing mandolin that will teach you from scratch, or even a printable handout? Is the mandolin a difficult instrument to take up without experience?
I have no history in music and I have never played a string instrument, but I do have a good ear for rhythm and very good hand eye coordination. I wanted to take up an instrument and the mandolin appealed to me VERY much. With my background, would the mandolin be difficult or would I be alright with practice?
