Should i peruse violoncello?
ive asked for many signs..and ive received them all..when i ask..is this profession meant for me..should i give it my all..even though people spend their lives on trying to pursue music..they dont make it..id been in band for about 3 well now 4 years..playing flute.there was one night when i was listening to my yo yo ma cd..randomly..and i heard the prelude...id heard the song billions of times..but that night..it literally stirred something in me that almost made me cry..it moved my soul..the next day i went into the orchastra room and from then on i got the okay from the orchastra teacher to use a cello. .he was rediculously willing. id taught myself cello...within 2 months.. id become better than any of the 8th grade cellist..i became so good that the teacher asked me to attend thier fieldtrip to LGP an evaluation by judges..now im in the 9th grade..and im first chair cellist..Mishca Maisky is a great inspiration to me..and i wish its in my heart to become really good...but i dont know if i should 'waste' my life on it..
